We are super excited to introduce our new Community Outreach Coordinator, Tabitha David (@tabzzi). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

She will be assisting us with community engagement, social media strategy implementation and event planning/coordination.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Bio:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tabitha is an experienced communications professional equipped to help businesses grow with digital marketing, content, and social media efforts, working on strategic and tactical sides of business development. Having recently been certified in Adult Education and Staff training, she aims to incorporate adult learning principles into overall communication practices. She also graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Speech Communication and English.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

She is currently the Marketing and Communications Manager at Devant, an organization whose purpose is to help international students with career development and job search strategies for long-term success in Canada.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Most recently, she moved back from China where she was teaching English to children ages 3 – 15 while exploring South East Asia through food, language, and culture.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In her free time, she loves to read with a cup of coffee, do the occasional yoga class or learn the piano (a recent project she has taken on during COVID-19).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Karen Swyszcz is a Filipino-Canadian who believed that the 9-5 was going to be it for her. It all changed when she started MakintheBacon, a blog to help others. It became a growing opportunity for her to build her own digital space. It then led to other endeavors which include Kabigan Connection, which was founded to help uplift other young Filipino entrepreneurs. Although it seems limited to Filipinos, it's not! Karen believes in going after what you want for your life, and ignore those who are going to judge you no matter what. If you like what you're reading, listen in!
